SOAR: THE WORD GUIDING MY LIFE, WORK & PURPOSE IN 2025
Happy new month but really, happy new year! While I’m fully aware we’ve already made it through the first quarter, it still feels so surreal — if you ask me. Let’s be honest, January always feels like a trial run. We’re all just out here trying to find our rhythm. Then February comes around and suddenly we’re organizing our thoughts, testing out our goals, adjusting where needed. And by March? That’s when we really start to hit our stride. Some goals may have shifted, some dreams redefined, but we’re finally moving with clarity — or at least some of it.
So if you’re still easing into 2025? You’re right on time.
This year started with a whirlwind of changes. Life really has a way of throwing shifts our way — sometimes expected, sometimes completely out of the blue.
I walked into 2025 with open hands, ready to receive whatever was meant for me. And honestly? That mindset has shaped how I’m approaching everything.
I won’t lie — adjusting takes time. And that’s okay.
I continue to trust the process, to embrace the unknown, and to believe — deeply — that God’s plans will always be greater than mine.
Having said that, I want to highlight some unforgettable moments this year has given me so far…
A Trip to Cyprus
It’s no secret — I love to travel. If you ever do me wrong, just hand me a plane ticket and your sins will be forgiven instantly! On a serious note though, because so much was happening all at once, this trip was such a last-minute decision… and boy am I glad I went. I got to celebrate my little sister’s graduation (so proud of her!), bond with family, explore with my parents, and soak in a new culture.
I’ve been slowly sharing visuals of that trip over on Instagram, and I’ll continue to do so — so keep an eye out.
Finding A New Place to Call Home
Especially after letting go of my beautiful safe haven — my home for 3 years.
Yes, I know what you are thinking. I promise I’ll serve the tea!
It’s not easy letting go of a place that held you, nurtured you and grew you. A place that shaped me both personally and professionally. A space where loved ones found shelter. A space that allowed me to creatively express myself, fully.
Letting go wasn’t easy. But isn’t that what life is all about?
Life will always ask us to release, to surrender, to embrace change — even when it’s uncomfortable. And what I’ve learnt is this: we ground ourselves not in things, but in who we are becoming.
Because when everything else shifts, what keeps us steady is always within.
I feel compelled to share more about the whirlwind of emotions I went through during the loss of my home — before I introduce this new space I’m creating. So stay tuned.
And Last but not least… More Work On My Plate
More opportunities. More assignments. More of what I love to do.
I won’t sugarcoat it — it’s stretching me but I'm deeply grateful. I’ve always believed that purpose evolves with us. And this season is reminding me that we grow by showing up — even when it’s hard, even when things are uncertain.
For what it's worth, I am extremely grateful. Great opportunities don't come easy and when you've prayed for certain things and now watch them align and come into fruition, your heart posture is forever grateful.
So with everything that’s happening this year and the speed at which it’s unfolding, I’ve never taken my Word for the Year more seriously. This word usually comes to me at the beginning of the year — in those first few weeks of January. And every year, it’s super profound. I truly believe it sets the foundation for my goals and aspirations.
The word, ladies and gents, is SOAR.
This is the year of rising higher. Of expanding beyond my comfort zone. Of fully experiencing life. Spiritually, professionally, personally, creatively — I want to step boldly into everything that is meant for me. No holding back. No second-guessing. Just intentional elevation.
I wrote my goals not long ago, and they felt different from any list I’ve ever made before. I may not have the full blueprint yet, but here’s what I know for sure:
→ I want to align my spirituality in a deeper way and truly trust God’s plans for my life.
→ I want to live fully this year — not just exist, but experience.
→ I want to be intentional with my time, creating balance in the things I love.
→ I want to nurture my relationships, be present for my people and make memories that truly matter.
→ I want to prioritize my health — mind, body, and soul.
And because I know the power of space, I want to keep creating environments that elevate life experiences. Our surroundings shape us more than we realize and when we care for the spaces we live in, we pour into ourselves in ways that matter.
If you’ve been following my journey, you know me as the interior stylist, the event curator, the tablescape queen. And while those are all parts of me, there’s so much more. 2025 is about embracing every role I play, every gift I’ve been given, every space I’m called to. It’s about moving with confidence, stepping into rooms I belong in and honoring every aspect of my journey the multi-hyphenate way!
So, if you’re stepping into something new, adjusting to change, or just figuring it all out as you go (same, bestie). My hope for you is simple: SOAR. In every way, in every season. Trust that where you are right now is exactly where you need to be.
Here’s to the real start of 2025. I hope it will be unforgettable in the most magical way ever!
Until next time!
